About this event

The International Seminar on "Education, Literature, Society and Culture: Challenges, Opportunities and Possibilities" is hosted by the Central Campus of Lumbini Buddhist University on 15–16 June 2026, in collaboration with Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak P.G. College and the Kalindi Prakashan Group, Uttar Pradesh, India. Held at the Central Office of Lumbini Buddhist University in Lumbini — the birthplace of Lord Buddha — the seminar brings together 35 scholars from Nepal and India for presentations across two parallel tracks and six themes.

    Opening ceremony chaired by Acharya Dayanidhi, Chief of Central Campus, and anchored by Mr. Rajendra Ghimire. Includes the offering of khada and Buddha Vandana, the national anthems of Nepal and India, a welcome address, the organisers' address by Dr. Ram Pandey, the keynote by Shipra Pathak ("Water Woman of India"), congratulatory speeches by Dr. Arvind Singh and Mr. Indra Kafle, and the chief guest address by Prof. Kavita Shah.
