Regional Conference on Deep Regenerative Agriculture 2026

6-8 April 2026

About the conference:

Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU), in collaboration with the National Agriculture Genetic Resources Center (NAGRC), NARC,  Worldwide Nature Conservation Nepal (WWN), and World-Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Nepal, is pleased to announce the Regional Conference on Deep Regenerative Agriculture 2026. The conference will be held from 6 to 8 April 2026 at LBU and will bring together researchers, practitioners, and policy advocates from Nepal, India, and Bhutan to share insights on deep regenerative agriculture.

LBU, in partnership with NARC, WWN, and WWF Nepal, is currently implementing a three-year project titled “Deep Regenerative Agriculture in the High-Altitude Mountain Region of Nepal” (REGAGRI). This project supports native agricultural genetic resources, indigenous knowledge, and traditional spiritual farming practices to strengthen agro-ecological resilience in high-altitude communities. By documenting and promoting the cultural and spiritual significance of traditional foods and highlighting the nutritional and climate-resilient qualities of native crops, REGAGRI aims to advance deep regenerative agriculture across the Eastern Himalayas. As part of this initiative, LBU is leading knowledge management efforts, including sharing learnings on deep regenerative practices throughout the region.
